Metsola products meet all Oeko-Tex product safety criteria. Oeko-Tex is an international textile product safety label which guarantees that the product does not contain harmful pesticides, heavy metals or formaldehyde residues. The most stringent requirements are for Class 1 products, which include products for babies and toddlers.
Our common legislation within the EU oversees product safety.
Metsola uses only GOTS certified organic cotton yarns for its products. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is an international organic material and product certification. The material used in our products is traceable to its source. The standard also includes social and environmental criteria that cover the entire production cycle.
Our company uses a variety of jersey and college fabrics, all of which are 100% manufactured, knitted and printed locally in the EU.
When washing your purchases, always follow the laundry instructions. Only wash with similar colors and multicolored clothing should be washed according to the lightest shade of the garment. Where possible, turn the item inside out when washing as this will extend the life of the garment. Tumble drying is not recommended. We recommend you re-shape stretchy materials while damp. The recommended washing temperature is 40 degrees Celsius.
Many of our products are made with merino wool. Our merino wool is ethically 100% Mulesing free merino wool. We use wool yarn that has undergone a Superwash process. This process enables the items to be machine washable, which in turn reduces the felting and shrinkage of the wool. The wool also becomes easier to dye and does not itch the skin.
Merino is a stunning natural wool that cleans itself. Excessive washing should be avoided. If required, it can be cleaned by airing and/or wiping stains with a damp cloth. When washing merino wool clothing in water, only use warm or cool water. There are organic detergents available for wool products. Merino wool is very heavy when wet and should therefore be dried on a flat surface to avoid stretching. Merino wool warms in winter and cools in summer – what a unique natural material!
We also use mulesing free merino wool and polyester composite yarns. In our Autumn and Winter collection, Goody beanies are made from 50% merino wool and 50% PET recycled material (plastic bottles).
When washing your purchases, always follow the laundry instructions.
When the garment is machine washable, its recommended to use the woollens settings.
Always remember to hand wash 100% merino wool!
We recommend to remove pom poms before washing the beanies.
The muslin cloth fabrics meet Oeko-Tex product safety standards and are made from GOTS certified organic cotton yarns. The muslin cloths are made of 100% organic cotton.
All our supplies (yarns, labels, ribbons, buttons, etc.) are sourced from our longstanding and reliable locally-based partners. All our supplies are manufactured either in Finland or within the EU. All accessories are safe and Oeko-Tex certified. We only use imitation leather in our labels and our ”fur tufts” are made from either faux fur or natural fiber.
Environmental legislation and impacts are taken into account in the choice of raw materials and chemicals as well as in Metsola's working methods. Our suppliers are obliged to comply with REACH, the EU Chemicals Regulation. The aim of the REACH Chemicals Regulation is to ensure a high level of environmental and human health protection while at the same time increasing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry through high safety standards and promotion of product development. You can place orders from our online store as a registered customer or as a guest.
If any of our products are out of stock we will notify you as soon as possible.
We do not combine orders received at different times. If you would like to make changes to your order, you may do so vi a customer refund or by placing a new order.

With Klarna Checkout, you can pay for your order via invoice, monthly payment, online banking, or credit card. Please note that the default is set to payment after shipping. You are not required to make payment prior to your order shipped.
Klarna Checkout includes all Klarna payment methods: Pay Now, (Card payments, Online Banking and Klarna Direct Payment, Pay Later (Invoice) and Split Payment (monthly payment). The Klarna payment system identifies the customer, therefore the package pick-up point needs to be mainly within 10km from the original delivery address.

Parcel Connect by Finland's Posti / 4,90 € (this service is available at the momenti for 24 countries in Europe). The Parcel Connect product is realized in cooperation with DHL and Bring. Posti produces the Parcel Connect deliveries in four countries: In addition to Finland, Posti has constructed an Itella Parcel Shop pickup point network in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Full or partial returns from outside of Finland will incur a shipping fee of 9,90 €.
Product exchanges or return of defective items is free of charge.
If you are replacing or returning a defective product, we will arrange a free refund for your shipment. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you instructions for completing your return.
We aim for fast mailing. Your order will be shipped within 1-3 business days of receiving your order.
We reserve the right to change delivery times during different promotions (eg SALE, Drop Days, Black Friday).
Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it. As a consumer, you have the right to both inspect your items and try them out. Upon receipt of your order, you are entitled by law (as dictated by Finland Consumer Protection legislation) to a 14 day right of return.
It is equally important to inspect your order upon receipt even if you have purchased it for later use or as a gift. Do not wash your item unless you have checked it and have made the decision to keep it.
Returns products must be unused and must still have their original sales tags. All returns will be inspected prior to a refund or exchange being processed. Please pack the products neatly for return so they can be returned to stock immediately if appropriate. Products may be returned to us in their original packaging or in another durable bag / box.
After the return of a part order, if the order value is less than the free shipping limit, postage will be deducted from the refund.
We do not accept returns made more than 14 days after receiving the shipment.
Returns will generally be processed within 1-2 business days of their arrival. Refunds will be issued via your original payment method.
Failure to collect an order is not classed as a return. Any order not collected in Finland will incur a shipping and handling fee of 10 €. Any order not collected outside Finland will incur a handling fee of 10,00 € + shipping cost back to Finland.
RETURNS BY POSTI OR MATKAHUOLTO IN FINLAND
When returning products, you can send them using our Customer Return IDs
The Customer Return ID for Posti is 615413 and for Matkahuolto is 9525694. Use the most economical shipping method for your returns. Enter the Metsola address and the Customer Return ID of your choice in the package. Please be sure to include a return form with your contact information.
Posti's "Palauta Helposti" code is also a convenient way to make customer returns when have made the order via Posti:
