Metsola’s story starts from love and care
– and the passion to design sustainable and beautiful clothes continues to blossom
Metsola was established in 2007 and it is one of the oldest Finnish clothing brands for children. Metsola’s founder and creative mastermind Sanna Paakki was inspired to design clothes, when she became a mother. At the time, there were only a few Finnish manufacturers of children’s clothing, and not much attention was yet paid on ethicalness. Mass production clothes that were produced unethically with cheap labour horrified her and she wanted to ensure that clothes did not contain dangerous chemical residues, which could harm the health of a little human.
While browsing around flea markets, Sanna found a pair of vintage terry cloth trousers, and she was thrilled by the durability of the material and the nostalgia familiar from photos. More of these were needed – but where from? Sanna found a manufacturer of terry cloth in Finland, dug out a fabric-making machine from a 30-year layer of dust, and soon – to her husband’s momentary shock – the back-garden terrace filled with huge rolls of fabric that were a couple of metres tall.
These ingredients formed Metsola, which struck the retro boom and brought bold colours and patterns to Finnish families’ children's clothing. Over the years, Metsola's style has developed and changed shape, but it has retained its unique and characteristic self. Wild patterns, simple graphic elements, delicate frills and playful bunny ears.
Nowadays, alongside Sanna, Metsola is developed by Riina Pulkkinen, and as a team they create ideas, dream, add and pick out new collections. Just like the nature around us, Metsola lives and develops while the wild powers of creation thunder in the background. And this always results in something incredibly beautiful. Welcome to Metsola's online store! Here you will find useful information with regards to ordering, delivery, product exchanges and returns.
You can place orders from our online store as a registered customer or as a guest.
If any of our products are out of stock we will notify you as soon as possible.
We do not combine orders received at different times. If you would like to make changes to your order, you may do so vi a customer refund or by placing a new order.
We reserve the right to change delivery methods during promotions.

Our online store uses the Klarna Checkout and Paypal payment systems.
With Klarna Checkout, you can pay for your order via invoice, monthly payment, online banking, or credit card. Please note that the default is set to payment after shipping. You are not required to make payment prior to your order shipped.

Full or partial returns from outside of Finland will incur a shipping fee of 9,90 €.
Product exchanges or return of defective items is free of charge.
If you are replacing or returning a defective product, we will arrange a free refund for your shipment. Email us at email@example.com and we will send you instructions for completing your return.
We aim for fast mailing. Your order will be shipped within 1-3 business days of receiving your order.
We reserve the right to change delivery times during different promotions (eg SALE, Drop Days, Black Friday).
Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it. As a consumer, you have the right to both inspect your items and try them out. Upon receipt of your order, you are entitled by law (as dictated by Finland Consumer Protection legislation) to a 14 day right of exchange and return.
It is equally important to inspect your order upon receipt even if you have purchased it for later use or as a gift. Do not wash your item unless you have checked it and have made the decision to keep it.
Products may be replaced with items of the same or lesser value. Any difference in cost will be refunded. If we no longer have the replacement product you want, we will issue a refund.
We keep product reservations for approximately one month.
Returns and exchange products must be unused and must still have their original sales tags. All returns will be inspected prior to a refund or exchange being processed. Please pack the products neatly for return so they can be returned to stock immediately if appropriate. Products may be returned to us in their original packaging or in another durable bag / box.
Exchanges are made free of charge.
We do not accept returns made more than 14 days after receiving the shipment.
Returns will generally be processed within 1-2 business days of their arrival. Refunds will be issued via your original payment method.
Failure to collect an order is not classed as a return. Any order not collected will incur a shipping and handling fee of 10 €.
When returning / exchanging products, you can send them using our Customer Return IDs
The Customer Return ID for Posti is 615413 and for Matkahuolto is 9525694. Use the most economical shipping method for your returns and exchanges. Enter the Metsola address and the Customer Return ID of your choice in the package. Please be sure to include a return / exchange form with your contact information.
Posti's "Palauta Helposti" code is also a convenient way to make customer returns

All returns are subject to a fee. Returns are 3.5€ per order. This amount will be deducted from the refundable amount.
If, after the return of a part order, the order amount is less than 100 €, postage will also be deducted from the refundable amount.
Please remember to keep your return receipt until your return is processed. The receipt serves as proof that you have returned the package and it is on its way to us.
If you notice any defects in our product, please inform us as soon as possible. Your complaint should be received by us no later than six months after the date of purchase. Every complaint will be processed on a case by case basis.
